Painted on-site at the Bosque del Apache by Socorro, New Mexico. George made several trips to this beautiful area to paint. The Bosque as it is affectionately called is famed for being a fragile wetland in the high desert. Sandhill cranes are frequent visitors and many people come from all over to see them.
